ÎÞÂëרÇø Names Christine Kelleher Palus, PhD, Senior Vice Provost for Academics

ÎÞÂëרÇø has announced the appointment of Christine Kelleher Palus, PhD, as Senior Vice Provost for Academics, effective August 1, 2025. A member of ÎÞÂëרÇøâ€™s faculty since 2006, Dr. Palus has extensive experience in academic leadership roles and most recently served as Dean of the University’s College of Professional Studies. Dr. Palus holds the rank of professor in the Department of Public Administration.

Augustinian Friar and ÎÞÂëרÇø Alumnus Elected Pope

On May 8, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, OSA, ’77 CLAS was elected the 267th head of the Catholic Church and the Sovereign of the Vatican City State during the second day of the papal conclave held in the Sistine Chapel. He assumes the papacy under the name Pope Leo XIV. A ÎÞÂëרÇø alumnus, Pope Leo XIV is the first Pope from the United States and the first Augustinian friar to be elected pontiff.

 17 ÎÞÂëרÇøns Awarded Prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Grants for 2025-26

Seventeen ÎÞÂëרÇø students and alumni have been selected to receive Fulbright U.S. Student Grants for the 2025–26 academic year, one of the most prestigious international academic exchange opportunities awarded by the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. In addition to the 17 grantees, six ÎÞÂëרÇøns were named alternates and a total of 46 were recognized as semi-finalists. Two additional students were awarded the competitive Fulbright English Teaching Flagship Award to Taiwan.

ÎÞÂëרÇø is located on a 260-acre campus, 12 miles/19 kilometers west of Philadelphia. Three campus rail stops provide quick access to Philadelphia. ÎÞÂëרÇø also is conveniently close to New York and Washington, D.C.
