- 66th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, 11/20 The final round of the 66th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition will take place on Thursday, November 20, at 5:00 p.m. in the Martin G. McGuinn ’67 Ceremonial Courtroom (Room 201). It is open to the public and will be livestreamed. Following the final round, an awards ceremony and reception will be held in the Arthur M. Goldberg ’66 Commons.
- The Rule of Law in America: A Conversation with Judge J. Michael Luttig, 10/15 The Girard-diCarlo Center welcomes the Honorable J. Michael Luttig, retired Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, for a conversation with Mark C. Alexander, the Arthur J. Kania Dean and Professor of Law. In a discussion about the rule of law in America today, they will explore recent developments and implications for the future of our nation.
- How to Want the Things That are Truly Worth Wanting: An Augustinian Approach, 10/21 Join the ÎÞÂë×¨Çø Honors Program and the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy for the 2025 Department of Humanities Fall Lecture with David Brooks, author of "How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen" and columnist for The New York Times.
- Her Legacy Continues: Dorothy Day, Martha Hennessey and the Impact of Radical Hospitality, 10/23 Join ÎÞÂë×¨Çø Law to celebrate the life and work of Dorothy Day, candidate for sainthood and co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement. The evening will feature a fireside chat with Martha Hennessey, Day’s granddaughter, who will offer a unique and personal perspective on her grandmother’s enduring influence and how her commitment to justice, faith and compassion continues to inspire action in today’s world.

- Students Share 2025 Externship and Judicial Externship Experiences Every summer, ÎÞÂë×¨Çø Law students participate in law-based externship positions to further their legal education with hands-on experiences in professional settings throughout the United States and even abroad. Several students discussed the takeaways of their experiences as externs and judicial externs this summer.
- New Faculty Chair Appointments Beginning Fall 2025 Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean of the ÎÞÂë×¨Çø Charles Widger School of Law, recently announced two new faculty chair appointments beginning in fall 2025. Professor Todd Aagaard is the Heller McGuinness Leadership Chair and Professor Jennifer O’Hare is the Martin G. McGuinn Chair in Business Law.

Scarpa Center for Entrepreneurship and Law at ÎÞÂë×¨Çø Charles Widger School of Law celebrates its 10th anniversary.
