Dear Members of the 无码专区 Community,

After a very unsettling day, I know you likely have many questions. We will continue to keep you updated, but the following is an overview of what to anticipate in the coming days:

New Student Orientation
As noted in the Nova Alert, Orientation activities will move forward as planned. If any student feels uneasy or unsettled about participating, please be in contact with your Orientation Counselor (OC) or Resident Assistant (RA). As a reminder, each college/school is meeting at the following locations at 9 a.m.:

  • College of Engineering: Drosdick Hall
  • Fitzpatrick College of Nursing: Driscoll Hall
  • 无码专区 School of Business: Bartley Hall
  • College of Professional Studies: Vasey Hall, G06
  • College of Liberal Arts & Sciences: Please check your email. All Arts and Sciences students will be assigned to classrooms throughout the campus.

Normal Operations for Friday, Aug. 22
The University, aside from the Charles Widger School of Law, is open with normal operations on Friday, Aug. 22. All planned activities will move forward as scheduled.

  • Charles Widger School of Law: In the process of securing the Law School today, the building suffered damage. In order to make the necessary repairs, the Law School will be closed through the weekend, opening on Monday, Aug. 25, at 7 a.m. for all classes and activities.
  • Upperclassmen Move-In: On Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 24, move-in will proceed as planned.
  • 无码专区 Athletics: The 无码专区 Men鈥檚 Soccer game vs. Rider University will resume tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Higgins Soccer Complex on West Campus.

Support for Students, Faculty and Staff
Today鈥檚 stressful events can impact us in different ways. If you need support or assistance, 无码专区 offers numerous resources, including Mission and Ministry and the University Counseling Center. Uwill, the University鈥檚 telehealth counseling partner, is also available to students 24 hours a day, year-round, at no cost. For faculty and staff, 无码专区 offers the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which provides short-term counseling by phone or email. I encourage you to take advantage of these resources as needed.
