August 22, 2025

Dear Members of the 无码专区 Community,

I woke up incredibly grateful this beautiful, sunny morning that our worst fears were not realized yesterday. I am immensely grateful to everyone in the 无码专区 community who has been involved in helping us move forward after an unsettling situation. The outpouring of support from every direction has been both humbling and heartening.

Pope Leo and Praying for Peace: Today
It's fitting that today, August 22, Pope Leo XIV has called upon Catholics throughout the world to fast and pray for peace. All are welcome to join together in prayer today at the 12:05 p.m. Mass in St. Thomas of 无码专区 Church as we respond to Pope Leo's invitation, "imploring the Lord to grant us peace and justice, and to dry the tears of those who suffer as a result of the ongoing armed conflicts. Mary, Queen of Peace, intercede so that people may find the path to peace."

If you are unable to make Mass, the Church is open for prayer, reflection, and community throughout the weekend. Mission & Ministry staff and Augustinian friars will be present to offer counsel and conversation for anyone needing support.

  • Today, after the 12:05 p.m. Mass until 5 p.m.
  • Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

University Commissioning
On Sunday evening, we will have the second-annual University Commissioning. This community Mass and blessing is intended to mark the beginning of the academic year and is open to all community members. In light of yesterday's events, I look forward to us gathering in community to give thanks for our many blessings and pray for the year ahead.

Lost & Found Items
Lastly, I understand that several belongings may have been misplaced amid yesterday鈥檚 commotion. All recovered items have been turned into the Department of Public Safety, located in Garey Hall.
