University President Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, led a powerful Augustinian blessing for new students at a Thursday evening orientation event following the false report of an active shooter on campus: 鈥溾�楳ay God bless you and protect you. May your heart and mind be united in faith so that you may be able to love wisely, work creatively, laugh heartily, and live honestly. May you use your education to bring justice and peace to the world, for the benefit of our human family and all of God鈥檚 creation. And may you always know that you are loved. Amen.鈥�"

We will hold a blessing for the community at 7 p.m. on the Campus Green. Other Orientation activities will be canceled for this evening and will resume tomorrow.
